With my teens home for two weeks over break we needed to celebrate with something special. That something special was Medieval Times Tournament. It is entertaining for the entire family. This was our second time attending. (My teens third!) The castle was decorated from head to toe for the holidays. Families and groups of friends were together for the show. We saw plenty of happy faces. You can be knighted by the Queen or have the court announce your birthday or special celebration during the tournament for even more fun. We all grabbed a drink when we first arrived. They have fun slushies for kids and several different drinks for the grown-ups. My advice is that if you are drinking an alcoholic beverage that you grab one on the way in to the tournament. Your server cannot get you an alcoholic beverage only soda, water, and lemonade. There is a separate server for the bar and it takes quite some time to get another drink. I waited about 30 minutes. Another tip is that if you are buying wine and sharing, grab a bottle. It will save you a few bucks! Once you get to your seats you'll be greeted by your server and food and drinks are served. If you have special dietary concerns let your server know. My son is a vegetarian so he was served a different meal. He loved it. You also get to eat with your hands, just like in the olden days. No worries as wipes for your hands are available before and after eating! It's different.
